There are numerous opportunities for CSU Students to volunteer in the area of STEM education with the Natural Sciences Education & Outreach Center. The NSEOC is committed to helping undergraduate students needing to fulfill the 20 hours of working with K-12 students requirement for the teacher licensure program at CSU. Here are a few ideas:
- Mentor 3rd – 5th grade students with the Triunfo Mentoring Program
- Assist with STEM Fridays Expeditions
- Assist with GetWET STEM Experience Field Trips
- Be a SciTrek Teaching Assistant
- Volunteer for the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair
- Inspire 4th grade students to attend college at the Math-Science-Tech Day (contact El Centro for details)
